Northern Pacific Roofing has been family-owned since day one. Barry and Kathi Murrin started the company in 2002, and today the next generation of the Murrin family works in the business alongside them — the same family, the same crew, the same standards.
Barry and Kathi Murrin are the Co-Founders and Owners of Northern Pacific Roofing, a family-owned company they have grown from a local start-up into the North Bay's trusted GAF Master Elite roofing team. Barry founded the company in 2002 with one standard: install every roof to manufacturer specifications and stand behind the work. He still owns and runs the business today, regularly walks job sites throughout Marin and Sonoma Counties, and often answers the phone himself. Kathi has been instrumental in building and sustaining the company's reputation while keeping it locally rooted and family-run. Today, their sons, Cameron and Cole, are stepping into leadership roles and carrying Northern Pacific Roofing forward with the same commitment to quality, integrity, and personal service.
Cameron Murrin
Next Generation — Project Management & Estimating
Cameron is an experienced Project Manager and Project Engineer with a background in complex institutional, commercial, and multifamily construction. A graduate of Chico State University with a degree in Construction Management, he has managed projects ranging from seismic retrofits and laboratory facilities to tenant improvements and large-scale roofing installations, including work for UC Santa Cruz, Humboldt State University, UC Davis, and UCSF Parnassus. His portfolio includes projects valued up to $25 million, along with more than 600 residential reroofs and major commercial and HOA roofing projects. Cameron brings strong technical expertise in structural concrete and steel, ADA upgrades, site improvements, tenant improvements, and a wide range of roofing systems.
Cole Murrin
Next Generation — Construction Management
Cole Murrin is a dedicated construction management professional with a proven track record of delivering complex projects across the commercial, institutional, and high-end residential sectors. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Cole honed his technical expertise in estimating and project coordination at Thompson Builders, where he contributed to significant public works and seismic retrofit projects. More recently, as an Assistant Project Manager at Eames Construction, he has focused on the execution of multi-million-dollar custom estates, collaborating closely with renowned architects like Aidlin Darling Design to achieve highly detailed, design-driven results. By combining his rigorous technical foundation with a detail-oriented approach to communication and coordination, Cole consistently ensures the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects.
